MAY 9
Floyd Valley Hospital is hosting a special Mother's Day Luncheon "Pump Up the Volume to Good Health" on Friday, May 9, 2008 from Noon - 1:00 p.m. in the Floyd Valley Hospital's Conference Center. There will be no charge for this event. This includes a light lunch, dessert and beverage. They will have 2 guest speakers during this luncheon.

MAY 10
The annual Tour of Historic Le Mars Homes will be Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 & under. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Le Mars Arts Center or the day of the tour. The last tour leaves the Le Mars Arts Center, 200 Central Ave. SE at 4:00 p.m.

MAY 18
The Le Mars Community High School announces its Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 18 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carey Gymnasium and Gehlen Catholic High School announces its Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 18 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gymnasium

MAY 20
Adult hearing tests are being offered to the public free of charge on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the lower level Conference Center at Floyd Valley Hospital. This screening could benefit those people who have ringing in their ears, have a family history of hearing loss, or are exposed to loud noise. The hearing screen test is by appointment only. MAY 30 - JUNE 5
The Postal Playhouse in Le Mars will present "ALONE TOGETHER AGAIN". Production dates for the comedy will be a straight run Friday, May 30th through Thursday, June 5th.  Evening performances 7:30 pm and a Sunday matinee only at 2:00 pm. JUNE 11- 14
The Le Mars Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its annual Ice Cream Days. This event hosts a broad range of fun and festivities for the whole family. Just a few of the events include: Car Cruise, Golf Tourney, 3 on 3 Basketball, Parade, Arts and Crafts, Fishing Derby and lots of entertainment.
